What Penalty Kings is

A penalty shootout where every goal doubles down. Score and your multiplier rises; miss and the run ends with nothing. At any point you can stop and take what you have.

The whole game is that one decision, repeated: bank now, or take one more shot.

How to play

  1. Choose a difficulty: Rookie, Pro or Legend.
  2. Set your stake and start the run.
  3. Pick which part of the goal to shoot at. The keeper picks too, and the keeper's choice was sealed before you shot.
  4. Score, and your multiplier climbs. Miss, and the run is over.
  5. Tap Bank whenever you want to stop and keep the current amount.

At a glance

Rookie
3 zones, keeper covers 1
Pro
6 zones, keeper covers 3
Legend
3 zones, keeper covers 2
Return to player
80%, in every mode
Max run
5 goals

Which difficulty should you choose?

Rookie gives you roughly a two-in-three chance per shot, so the multiplier climbs slowly. Legend gives you roughly one in three, so it climbs fast — five goals on Legend is worth many times five goals on Rookie.

Neither is better value. The harder modes pay more only in proportion to how much more often they end your run, so all three return the same percentage over time. What changes is variance: Rookie is a long, gentle grind, and Legend is mostly failure punctuated by something large.

The real skill, such as it is, is banking. The multiplier at five goals looks enormous and almost nobody reaches it. Decide your stopping point before you start the run, because deciding it while looking at a number you could double is how people end runs with nothing.

Worth knowing before you play

The keeper's choice is sealed before you shoot and revealed afterwards, so it cannot react to your pick. Long losing streaks on Legend are the design, not bad luck.

Every random result is sealed before you choose and published afterwards, so it can be checked rather than trusted — see provably fair.
